Margaret Cho is a Korean American Comedian who is relatively famous. She was born in San Francisco on December 5, 1968 and grew up on San Francisco’s Haight Street in the 1970s. Growing up on Haight Street, San Francisco in the 1970s was a difficult one. The neighborhood was racially diverse but Margaret Cho’s life was chaotic. She her father was deported to Korea shortly after she was born. She followed shortly because her mother had some difficulty raising her. She expressed quite a bit of interesting in being a comedian. Quite a bit of Drama happened when she was little, as she was raped as a child and this left some scars on psychology.
According to her, on the street “There were old hippies, ex druggies, burnouts from the ‘60s, drag queens and Chinese People”
She said: “I was raped continuously through my teenage years, and I didn’t know how to stop it,” she said. “It was also an era where young girls were being sexualized. For me, I think I had been sexually abused so much in my life that it was hard for me to let go of anger, forgive or understand what happened.”
However, she is a powerful activist for female, homosexual (it’s better to be changed to bisexual) or just plain human rights. She has many parallels to Rosa Parks, the African American who refused to get up from the bus seat when told to do so. By having a lot of visibility and having her be very vocal on how make homosexuality, females and other oppressed minorities get equal rights as the dominant group, she would be bringing people closer to equality.
Many of her topics are considered quite controversial. She says that she doesn’t like to have sex with a single person for whole her life. Instead, in one comedy show, she claimed that she could have sex with everyone.
On a comedy show, she said: I Refer To Myself As Gay, But I Am Married To A Man.
On the urban dictionary, she is defined as following:
A wonderful female comedienne from San Francisco’s infamous Polk Street. Her parents worked at a bookstore and her mother enjoyed gay pornography.
In a couple of words, Margaret Cho is the only woman who can make me laugh so hard I fall out of my chair. She is amazingly talented, extremely intelligent, intuitive and most of all, but not least, a fag hag.
